FAITID's Maxim Alzoba Elected Vice Chair of NTAG

December 5-13, 2014, The New TLD Applicant Group (NTAG) had the elections of officers for the Executive Committee. The newly elected officers will hold their positions from January 1 to June 30, 2015. FAITID's special projects manager Maxim Alzoba was elected the Vice Chair of the NTAG.

NTAG is an interest group formed under the Charter of the gTLD Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG), which is a recognized entity within the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The GNSO fashions standards and policies for generic top-level domains (gTLDs), and strives to keep gTLDs operating in a fair, orderly fashion across one global Internet.

The primary role of the NTAG is to represent the interests of entities that applied for a new gTLD(s) in ICANN’s 2012 gTLD round. The officers of the NTAG's Executive Committee do not get paid.

"Working in the NTAG's Executive Committee allows me to cooperate more closely with the ICANN in addressing the issues of the new gTLD registries and applicants," Maxim Alzoba says on his appointment.
